Mix Tape of the Month is a monthly feature here at History Happens At Night. Our Author spins a sweet mix for your consumption – some new, some old, all great.

So here we have the first installment of Mix Tape of the Month. December always needs acoustic balladry and sexual tension, lovingly mixed with blasts of Rock n’ Roll excess. This December is no different. So here we go, a mix to make snow fall and then to melt it.

The Wrestler – Bruce Springsteen
Jessica’s Suicide – Bad Astronaut
The Three Kids In Brooklyn – Butch Walker
We Laugh At Danger (And Break All The Rules) – Against Me

Girls Like Status – The Hold Steady
Mugiboogie – Mugison
The Glory Of Love – Primal Scream
Lickin’ – The Black Crowes
Universe – T Rex
Don’t Believe A Word – Third Eye Blind

It’s been a slow week at the blog due to some general annoyances, but I am happy to report we are back in full swing. Coming up this week we start the self indulgent LIST season. Look out for best of lists and my much anticipated Mix Tape Of The Year!!

Happy Listening kids!
